The purpose is two-fold, we want to
  • investigate new ways of communicating art using interactive installations created using standard and fairly cheap hardware combined with state-of-the-art software and the newest research results in interaction,
  • use these techniques to create an exhibition of the particular collection of drawings that gives rise to the title of the project, Italian Drawings.
The project started in 2013 as part of a range of activites at Roskilde University's Experience Lab. The opening first public display of an installation Italian Drawings took place Friday, November 22, 2012, at Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Copenaghen, where it was on display November 22 until December 20, 2013. In 2014–15, our installations have been used at prestigeous Danish art museums and a number of other places. Find more information about this at http://viskbook.com.
This video, created from slides used for the opening of the first public exhibition, gives an overview of the project and acknowledgements to the people involved in different ways (big file!).
